KYOGLE RESOURCE INNOVATION COLLECTIVE
at Kyogle Waste Facility, Runnymede Road

The Kyogle Resource Innovation Collective (KRIC) is the operator of the tip shop – known as the KRIC shop – at the Kyogle Waste Facility.

Since opening on July 2, 2020, KRIC has received pre-loved and unwanted goods and given them a second opportunity at life. These goods include household appliance, furniture, tools and gardening equipment, building materials, toys, bikes, sporting equipment, and anything strange and interesting that might be given another purpose. It is amazing what some people can make out of junk. On average 670kg a week is redirected from landfill.

KRIC is a service for the community run by the community with volunteers on roster. We support other community services, donating to local charities when we can, and welcome community involvement. All items sold are at very affordable prices and all funds go to supporting local community programs and environmental initiatives, particularly those concerning waste minimisation.

Over time the KRIC shop will become a demonstration of the sustainable and creative use of unwanted items. Workshops in the use of these materials will be offered.

Kyogle Together Inc. acknowledges the Gullibul, Githabul, Wahlubal and Banjalang people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters within the Kyogle Local Government Area, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
