Always on the lookout for ways to keep things out of landfill

KYOGLE RESOURCE INNOVATION COLLECTIVE
at Laneway Community Space, 161 Summerland Way

We are currently delivering a food rescue project, with an aim of working with 6 food businesses to divert 300kg of food waste a week from landfill. If you are interested in this project, pleaser let us know.

The first KRIC project was The Tip Shop at the Kyogle Waste Facility.

We operated from July 2, 2020 to April 14, 2024, and gave pre-loved and unwanted goods a second opportunity at life. These goods included household appliance, furniture, tools and gardening equipment, building materials, toys, bikes, sporting equipment, and anything strange and interesting that might be given another purpose. It is amazing what some people can make out of junk. On average 670kg a week was redirected from landfill.

KRIC is a service for the community run by the community with volunteers on roster. We welcome community involvement to support local community programs and environmental initiatives, particularly those concerning waste minimisation.

Over time KRIC will become a demonstration of the sustainable and creative use of unwanted items. Workshops in the creative reuse of materials are offered.

Kyogle Together Inc. acknowledges the Gullibul, Githabul, Wahlubal and Banjalang people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters within the Kyogle Local Government Area, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
